A detailed account of the 2014 US patent application US20140123990A1 for a connected electronic cigarette system integrating hardware, a PC application, and a web server. Although officially filed under a business partner’s name, the innovation and implementation came from my work, realized in the MID-ONE project. This article highlights the invention, technical contributions, and lessons learned about intellectual property and innovation.
